NBA game- Nets @ Hawks

 This past friday I went to the Hawks vs Nets Basketball Game with my parents. We aren’t big NBA fans but this were really excited to go to the game because my friend from high school is a rookie for the Nets. We aren’t close friends but I went to all the basketball games in high school and was friends with the players. We got to the game early to watch them warm-up. When we got there we went down to the lower level and watched as my friend was getting some shots up.   

                                               

After he had warmed up and was getting ready to go to the locker room he came over to us. He took pictures with all of us, but my Dad's didn't turn out good because he wouldn't stop talking enough for a picture.

Unfortunately played about 15 minutes and the nets lost 93-84. But it was awesome getting to see him play in the NBA in person.

blogging again

so i disappeared from the blog world for a bit. I was going to go to mexico for a week with my school, but  my passport had a little water spilled on it and they wouldn't let me fly. So that was disappointing, but oh well.

Anyways my life as of late has been amazing. ( besides my blue devils loss in the NCAA tournament, what the heck?!) But other than that I have been doing great

So I am a few days late but I thought I would do a Sometimes and Always post to get back into blogging.

 Sometimes I get overwhelmed with all the work I have to do and think theres no way I can do it

 I Always survive and get through whatever is stressing me thanks to God

 Sometimes I get upset that wearing my heart on my sleeve makes me vulnerable ( like when my Blue Devils get upset by Lehigh (or anyone) I know people won't let me hear the end of it).

Always I remember that my love for Duke is part of who I am and I am proud not to be a bandwagon fan

Sometimes I do Insanity, a crazy intense workout

Always I struggle real bad but feel good that I did it.

Sometimes I find a book I really love

I Always finish it in a night if i really love it ( like I did with The Hunger Games last night)

I'm going to Mexico

At LaGrange we have JanTerm. The month of January we take only one class. Generally it is a chance to take a break from out major and core classes. JanTerm was started as a way for students to travel abroad for a short time. I am going to Mexico for JanTerm. The past two weeks we have been learning about mexican culture, and now we are leaving tomorrow for a nine day trip to the Yucatan.  I set up a separate blog to document my trip here . I'm not bringing my laptop for safety reasons but will blog during the trip whenever I can on hotel computers and if I end up not being able to. I will be journaling everyday and will post them when I get back. I am nervous because I don't have any friends going on the trip  with me and I've been kinda homesick recently. So thoughts, prayers, and encouragement are appreciated !

Sometimes and Always

Today I am linking up with Megan from Mackey Madness.  I’ve wanted to do a Sometimes and Always post for sometime now and today I’m going to attempt it. 

Sometimes:  I get restless if i haven’t done anything all day. 

Always: I am a homebody at heart and love being curled up in my bed watching tv. 

Sometimes: I really want to go shopping 

Always: I end up either getting frustrated at nothing fitting or nothing being on sale, usually a combo. 

Sometimes: I stress about money, and being wise with my money

Always: I know that money is not what’s truly important. 

Sometimes: I worry about not knowing what I am going to do after graduation

Always: I know that God has a plan for me.
